Neil Broadfoot was a journalist for 15 years, coveringa range of stories from the fall of Libya (where he had to negotiate safe passage out of the country for his reporters) to the MPs' expenses scandal and the will-they-won't-they romance of Edinburgh zoo's pandas.
His first novel, Falling Fast, was shortlisted for both the Dundee International Book Prize and the Bloody Scotland book of the year award and introduced readers to investigative reporter Doug McGregor and DS Susie Drummond. The second and third books in the series, The Storm and All The Devils, have been critical hits with readers and writers, with James Oswald naming All The Devils his crime book of the year.
Neil has now signed with Constable to write a new series set in Stirling. The first of the Connor Fraser books, No Man's Land, will be released next July.
