Cailèideascop is David Eyre’s first novel and has been hotly anticipated in Gaelic literary circles. A Gaelic learner from Glasgow, David has spent his working life as a journalist and press officer and has previously published Glainne, a novella for young adults and a wide range of poetry. Cailèideascop (Kaleidoscope) is a thriller about the interconnectivity of the universe which leads the reader on an epic journey from the Isle of Skye to the moons of Jupiter.

’S e Cailèideascop a’ chiad nobhail aig Daibhidh Eyre agus tha fèill mhòr air a bhith roimhe ann an saoghal litreachas na Gàidhlig. ’S e neach-ionnsachaidh na Gàidhlig a th’ ann an Daibhidh, is ’s ann a Glaschu a tha e: tha e air a bheatha proifeasanta a chur seachad mar neach-naidheachd agus oifigear nam meadhanan. Tha e air nobhail goirid do dh’inbhich, Glainne, agus measgachadh de bhàrdachd fhoillseachadh mar thà. Ann an Cailèideascop, gheibhear turas thar-labhairt a tha a’ tòiseachadh san Eilean Sgitheanach, agus a’ crìochnachadh anns na speuran.
